Looking for a new venue for eating out and having drinks? Then JHB Grill in Sunninghill is the place to go! It’s a classic steakhouse and relaxed family restaurant, well known for range of premium quality foods, great wine and delicious cocktails, all of which complement the unforgettable steakhouse menu.

On arrival the staff showed us to our table and served a complimentary basked of freshly baked mini rolls, whole wheat and white with a balsamic vinegar and olive oil dip. The owners, cousins Mark Nofal and Jeff Nofal, greeted us and made us feel welcome and relaxed.

The menu features several ‘good old favourites’, Mark recommended their signature dish: Legendary pan fried fillet, flamed with Jack Daniels and finished with a choice of pepper, mustard or garlic sauce. It could be ordered with a choice of starches, veg or salad. It was positively mouth-watering certainly a ‘must try meal’.

The salads are served from a salad trolley where guests can help themselves to salad rather than ordering a readymade salad which often consists mainly of lettuce.

There is a great selection of dessert to choose from too, such as Malva Pudding and Waffles to name a few. They have a fully licenced bar and a great selection of wines.

The décor is simple and charming a combination of leather, wood and brick. It is comfortable and warm and not over the top. There is an outdoor tree-lined terrace making it family friendly.

There are two walls of empty photo frames; the reason for this is that guests are invited to take in their photos depicting Joburg to be framed along the wall. The other wall is for photos of celebrities dinning at JHB Grill.
