Nine held at Joburg zoo
Nine car guards have been arrested for malicious damage to property on Thursday, Johannesburg metro police said.
Spokesman Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said the nine were arrested at the Johannesburg Zoo in Parktown, after they allegedly broke into cars they were supposed to guard.
He said they also intimidated drivers who refuse to pay for parking.
They would appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court on Friday, on charges of malicious damage to property and intimidation, he said.
