The happy sound of marimbas were heard by shoppers in Tyrone Avenue, Parkview on this last Saturday morning.
Parktown High School for Girls Grade 8s had a project to create a children's book. Once completed, the girls went accross the road to read to the children of Parkview Junior School.

Claire Gill, a Grade 12 learner at Parktown Girl's, and Donovan Kingsburgh, all dressed up and ready to go to the Parktown Girl's Matric Dance, which was held on the 31 May 2008.
Laine Butler, a Grade 10 learner from Parktown High School for Girls, has been awarded a Rotary Exchange Scholarship for 2009. She'll be winging her way to Cordoba, Argentina in January next year for a whole year. Well done, Laine!
Grade 8s from Parktown Girls held a Stay Awake on Friday 1 February, until 8 am on Saturday morning, as a fundraiser for charity.
