Worker critically injured
A worker was critically injured after he fell 9 meters from scaffolding at a construction site in Olifantsfontein this afternoon at around 2.49pm on June 14. Exact details to why the man fell will remain a subject for investigation.
Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic Ettienne van der Merwe and his team arrived at the construction site and found that the worker had sustained Polly traumatic injuries. The Netcare one Helicopter was dispatched to the site to assist ground crew with the patient.
The medical team worked ardently to stabilise the critically injured worker. After he was immobilised they airlifted the patient to the Netcare Millpark hospital for further medical treatment.
