Who was that woman who caused chaos on Johannesburg's M1 highway this week - and what was she thinking?
South Africans were stunned when a woman allegedly tried to run over Metro police officers when they pulled her over for talking on her cellphone while driving in the emergency lane - and then shot out her tyres, causing traffic chaos.
Meet Delené Yolanda Fordham, a 46-year-old hard-working mother who dotes on her two boys and bakes cakes for school fundraising drives.
Fordham, a personal assistant at a prominent tile company in Johannesburg, said she became disorientated after getting lost trying to make her way home to Olivedale, north of Johannesburg, after meeting friends in Edenvale on Wednesday afternoon.
