Critically injured man transported to Netcare Millpark
A snarl-up in the Johannesburg CBD has left two people injured one critically so. It is purported that a bus collided with an Isuzu at the intersection of Joe Slovo and Smith streets this morning just after 5pm.
The force on impact tumbled the Isuzu onto a pedestrian and another vehicle before its twisted remains came to rest wedged against a fence on the side of an embankment.
“Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene to be faced with absolute carnage. The driver of the Isuzu was in a critical but stable condition while the pedestrian had sustained serious injuries”, said Chris Botha of Netcare 911.
Medics stabilised the injured on scene and while the critically injured man was transported to the Netcare Millpark hospital the seriously injured pedestrian was transported to the Charlotte Maxeke hospital for the treatment they required.
