Hair, Beauty and Fashion Café HAND launches is Parkhurst

Hair, beauty and fashion café HAND opened its doors for the very first time in Parkhurst, Johannesburg, on the July 1, 2011. HAND is the brainchild of owners and creative’s Michael and Helene Scott, who opened for first HAND in Cape Town, Tamboerskloof. The incredible success and popularity of this branch has led to the demand for a second salon in Johannesburg.

Joburg HAND owner Shanon Leicher, a very good friend and now business partner to Michael and Helene, believes that a salon like this is an essential for a Joburg clientele and she has put her dreams into action. With the help of investor and father John Reidy, who has single handedly built almost every piece of furniture at the salon, they have made this dream a reality.

HAND, which stands for ‘Have A Nice Day’ is a hair salon, beauty salon and a fashion café, selling some of the leading South African designer’s ranges. The salon will stock clothes from designers Carousel, Me & Ms Jones, Phillipa Green, Misfit & State of the Nation.

It’s style and attitude for everybody and HAND opens its doors to those who want a special experience, with dedicated attention, in a tranquil garden setting in Parkurst. HAND also offers coffee and light snacks, perfect for a moments escape from Joburg’s rat race.

Styled on the Cape Town branch of HAND, the architecture is modern and arty, but equally as homely and inviting. Pop in to get your hair cut by some of the leading hairstylists in Joburg, get pampered at the beauty salon and end it all off with a creamy cappuccino.
