Doppio Zero and JB’s Corner to open at the new Sandton City expansion

Doppio Zero and JB’s Corner are set to open their doors in the newly-expanded Sandton City shopping centre, enhancing the choice of restaurant destinations for shoppers and visitors alike at Africa’s most iconic mall.

The R1.77 billion mall redevelopment has added 70 more stores to the already diverse retail offering, including – among many others – Guess accessories, a world-leading Lacoste flagship store, Paul & Shark, Steve Madden, Zara, Ben Sherman, Hackett, Jack Friedman, Tag Heuer, Bellagio, Pandora, Democratic Republic, Zui, Okaidi, Nespresso, Lecoqsportif, Lulu Belle, G-Star, Crossover, Shesha, Tiger of Sweden, Kingsley Heath, Superdri, Sack’s, Maska, Fossil, Aeronautica, Addidas, Superga, Canterbury, Lorna Jane, Drifters, Ordning and Reda, Simply Manas, le Creuset, Kitchen Passion and the first free-standing Thomas Sabo store in South Africa,

“One of Sandton City’s strongest draw cards is its exceptional tenant mix and offering of unique, high-demand retail destinations,” says Julie Hillary, general manager Sandton region for Liberty Properties.

Mediterranean restaurant and bakery Doppio Zero and the trendy, relaxed JB’s Corner both saw a unique opportunity at Sandton City and will open in the first quarter 2012.

“Doppio Zero at Sandton City will offer a new café-style environment, including a bakery with fresh breads, cakes and pastries, with an emphasis on excellent coffee,” says co-founder and director Paul Christie.

“The space will offer different elements – like a formal lounge, a bar and an outside area.”

The new Doppio Zero will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Likewise, JB’s Corner was quick to recognise that Sandton City is a perfect fit for its relaxed and trendy vibe.
