The Spar Parkview

I went to the Spar in Parkview – Tyrone ave. last Saturday to purchase a few things. I urgently had to make use of a toilet and they escorted me to the staff toilet at the time. I was shocked to see that the toilet door was actually inside the butchery – or just adjacent. It just seemed so out of place! When I wanted to wash my hands, the basin was actually just next to the basin where all the dishes are washed up and some kind of egg beater actually laid in the hand basin at the time. I wondered if the Parkview residents are aware that their meat products might be at risk of E.Coli etc. It is also a fact that many people do not always wash their hands after using the toilet. I shrink just thinking that a person who just had a bowel movement had to wash their hands in a basin just next to the basin where all the dishes are being washed! Louise
