Voters need to Reregister in Parktown North & Rosebank
The suburbs of Rosebank and Parktown North have been moved from the old Ward 90 to the new Ward 117. A new voting station at the Rosebank Primary School has been created and voters need to reregister to vote there. The old polling station at the Rosebank Bowls Club will still accept their votes, but their votes will be counted in Ward 90 and not their new ward (ie they will be voting for another councillor).
Voters can reregister on the weekend of 5/6th March at the Rosebank Primary School, 13 Jellicoe Ave (between Sturdee and Bath Aves) from 8am to 5pm (GPS: 26° 8'33.89"S / 28° 2'20.77"E). They need their bar coded ID books. All residents over the age of 16 can register, although only those 18 years or older on election day can vote. The election day (probably in May) will be announced after the last registration weekend has ended.
