Seussical Jr
Back by popular demand, The Cat in the Hat takes audiences on a wonderful journey… Join Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, and Mayzie La Bird for a musical trip into the wonderful wacky world of Dr. Seuss.
Travel back to your childhood, to the Land of Whos and the Jungle of Nool, and re-discover the delightfully zany characters created by one of the most beloved storytellers of all time... this musical is one with enormous appeal for young and old.
Let your imagination unfold as the tales of Dr. Seuss leap off the stage at the National Children’s Theatre (NCT) in a burst of colour, style, song and movement. Seussical Jr - the "best family musical to hit Broadway in a long, long time!" will usher in the long winter holiday from Monday 24 May 2010.
Come and experience a toe-tapping, hand-clapping cornucopia of musical styles, ranging from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, and R&B to funk. An energetic and multi-talented ensemble of professional actors will keep both children and adults delighted and enthralled.
Directed and staged by Joyce Levinsohn, this is another must-see treat for the whole family!
Musical Supervision is by Rowan Bakker, and Choreography by Shelley Adriaanzen, while Décor, Lighting and Costumes are by veteran heavyweights Stan Knight, Jane Gosnell and Sarah Roberts, whose stunningly exotic costumes earned her a Naledi Award nomination.
